In the book of Genesis (1:26-28),  God says that man has dominion over the kingdom and the animals. This means the animals including horses, will have a submissive nature to man. I believe God made horses with an inner desire to be partners with man. It is our job to bring that inner desire out of them. We do this by learning the nature of the horse.  Here is where the predator and prey psychology comes into play. Humans, being the predators, have a different way of thinking and acting than prey animals. The more you understand how horses think and respond to the world around them, the more you will know what their wants and needs are. The more you can give your horse what he needs, the more he will be willing to do what you ask.

  Our God given dominion over these great creatures demands a deep respect, even awe, in us for God’s creation.  We are to respect and learn from our horses.  I have learned much about the Creator,relationships and life through my interactions with horses. I hope to share this with others as I continually learn and grow.

Job 12:7-10

7 “But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you;

8 Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you;
 And the fish of the sea will explain to you.

 9 Who among all these does not know
 That the hand of the LORD has done this,

 10 In whose hand is the life of every living thing, 
And the breath of all mankind?
